After a well deserved break students returned ready to get stuck in and get creative. We started the term with a logo design project students had to create a design for a T-shirt and make out of recyclable materials. We then have taken a photo of their creations and will use the images and print on T-shirts in the new term and be showcased in our end of term Fashion show.

The second project students had a chance to use their imaginations and get creative either working in groups or independently creating their own Eco friendly pets. Firstly they had to think about what pet they wanted and the habitat their pet lives in and how they can make their pets out of the materials from our recycle corner. The project was supposed to end by the end of this term but students have worked so hard and put so much thought and details into their designs that we have run out of time on this project so much that we will complete in the new term as they have really enjoyed creating their pets.

The students have worked extremely hard this term and I cant wait for the students to see their finished projects next term.

Well done to Creative Eco club you have all worked so hard once again this term. Enjoy your well deserved break and stay creative over the half term.

We started the term with both groups students basic cross stitching techniques.
Once students felt confident enough with this technique they designed a logo and cross sticthed their designs. Ks1 focused on designing patterns and shapes and Ks2 had to design a simple logo of their own choice.

As the students did so well with the stitching project we took it up another level. Students had to create a self portrait using the cross stitching techniques and a mixture of mixed materials. Once the portraits are completed they will be photographed and image will be used for a t. shirt print and the original will be decoration for a cushion (ks1) or a T. shirt tote bag. T.shirts and tote bags will be showcased in our end of term. More details will be available soon.

While students wait for their transfers to be processed they have started to make and decorate tote bags out of T. shirts (ks1) and cushions out of jumpers filled with fabric remnants (ks2).

KS2 will finish off their portrait stitch creation and add to their T-shirt tote bags and finish decorating.
Once again students have worked very hard and have picked up so many new skills this term which they will be using next term when they will be designing and upcyling fold items into new fun and exciting fashionable creations.
Enjoy your well deserved break and i look forward to seeing you all inn the new term.
