Hi all, It’s a new week hope you are all ready to get creative.
Today’s project: Aquarium Jars
Materials Needed:
- Jar
- Paint / Marker pen
- Water
- Glue/ glue gun
- Sponge
- Paint brush
- Small hand full of Oats/Rice (any material of your choice)
- Scissors
- Gems/ Beads (optional)

- Get a clean jar and turn upside down (lid side on floor) and paint or draw your water creatures e.g Fish, Starfish, Sharks, Jellyfish. You can also add seaweed and coral.

2. Once you have decorated your jar leave in a safe place to dry. Now get your piece of sponge ( only need a small rectangle) cut out a coral shape and paint (optional), once you have decorated leave to dry.

3. Get your lid and apply glue to the base then cover with your chosen base material. (I have used oats for my seabed).

4. Once all parts have dried it is now time to bring it all together….. Glue your coral onto your seabed ( add any other objects you wish e.g treasure box, 3D sea creature use your imagination) . Now place jar on top of lid and screw tight. If you can not screw the lid back on you can use the glue gun to seel together.

Extra Project:
Now you have completed your aquarium jar why not create another themed jar…..
- Jungle
- Bug garden
- Fairy land
- Treasure island
- Outer Space
Have fun creating.
